Warping & Dressing the Early Hand  Loom

When Norman started the school in 1974 he brought with him the expertise and techniques that he had gleaned from watching the last of the rural handweavers in Scotland.  He continued to share this way of warping and dressing a loom with all of his students and the next generation of teachers.  His  method has finally been recorded into this little manual in the hopes that Norman's legacy will continue to be passed on from one weaver to the next.  These techniques were uniquely suited to the 4 post  frame loom but can also be used on any contemporary loom as well.
